FAQS

frequently asked questions

I can’t find my tickets – what do I do?

In first instance, please contact your point of purchase or log in to your Eventim account to try and find the tickets. If you still cannot find them, please contact us at least 48 hours before the event on [email protected] and we will reprint your tickets for you to collect on the day.

Which Covid safety measures will be in place?

Your safety, and that of our team remains a priority whilst we live with Covid in the wider community.

Please do not come to the venue if you test positive for Covid. If you feel unwell, please do a lateral flow test and do not attend if you test positive.

The following measures are still in place at Portsmouth Guildhall:

Face Coverings – Whilst it is now a choice, Comic Con is a busy event & we would encourage you to wear a face covering. If you choose not to, please be mindful of those that are around you.

Enhanced Sanitisation & Cleaning – we will carry out enhanced cleaning procedures and we ask that you sanitise your hands on entry and regularly throughout your visit at the sanitisation points provided.

Whilst we know that many of you are enjoying attending live events once more, we also know that some might be feeling a bit more apprehensive, so we ask everyone to please be kind, be thoughtful and consider the people around you and our team.

Please see our full Purchase Policy and House Rules here.

Will there be food and drinks available at this event?

There will be a number of bars and catering outlets at Comic Con. Please note Food & Drinks brought externally will not be allowed on the premises unless you have a medical reason. We have Guildhall burgers and Guildhall loaded fries outside in the food court area, and the Guildhall Cafe will be serving food such as sandwiches. Details of our other vendors will be added soon.

Is this event wheelchair accessible?

As with all events at Portsmouth Guildhall the venue and event is fully accessible to people of all needs. Should you have any concerns about accessibility at the venue please contact: 023 93870 200. Free Essential Companion tickets are also available to this event.

In which areas of the Guildhall will this event be taking place?

The event will be taking place over all floors of the Guildhall and also in Guildhall Square, you will be able to find site maps on our website closer to the event.

Will there be tickets available on the door?

We recommend buying your tickets sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. We have a limited capacity – any tickets not sold before the event will be made available on the door but at the last Portsmouth Comic Con we sadly had to turn people away due to selling out during the course of the day’s events.

Can I apply for a press-pass for this event?

We are welcoming press applications to this event, should you wish to get on board please contact [email protected]

Will there be cosplay?

YES! We encourage cosplay at the event, no matter your age or your cosplay experience, and we’re excited to see the creative cosplay ideas our visitors come up with!

What are the opening times?

Check back nearer to the event for our opening times.

Do you have a policy regarding costumes, weapons, and props?

There are a few rules that we ask people to follow so that all can enjoy the event, please visit our Cosplay page for our Rules/Weapons Policy.
