Portsmouth Comic Con – International Festival of Comics brings you the best of comic, film, TV and pop culture entertainment in what is set to be the largest event of its kind in the South!

Welcoming some of the best comic book artists and writers in the industry including Walter and Louise Simonson, Tommy Lee Edwards, Frank Quitely, Russell Walks and many more you will meet the stars behind the screen.

Get behind the science of comics through a full range of panels, exhibitions, displays and workshops and explore our Comic City for a fantastic range of merchandise and collectables featuring the fantastic Forbidden Planet International.

Virtual reality, motion capture, gaming, robots, Steampunk and of course cosplay will all feature!

If you’re serious about comics, love Marvel films or cult series like Dr Who or simply looking for a fun family day out this is the event for you!


Access

We want to ensure that you have the best possible experience when visiting our Grade II listed venue. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information or to discuss your requirements on 023 9387 0200.

If you require assistance whilst in our building please ask a member of staff and we will help in any way we can.

There is gentle ramp access into our main foyer for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. From the main foyer you can access the stalls, our café and lifts to all other floors. Our staff can advise on the best routes and access points at the time of booking or on your arrival.

Portsmouth Guildhall has accessible toilets on the Basement level which can be accessed by lifts on both sides of the main foyer areas.

Hearing and Guide dogs are welcome but please inform Box Office at the time of booking.

There are a very limited number of on street parking spaces outside the venue.


Accommodation

Portsmouth is a great place to stay and make a weekend of it!

Home to the Historic Dockyard and its famous attractions; HMS Victory, The Mary Rose and HMS Warrior 1860, see the sites from 170m high at the top of the Spinnaker Tower, explore the city’s 2 miles of beach front and enjoy shopping and leisure at the waterside Gunwharf Quays.

Food & Drink

There will be a number of bars and catering outlets at Comic Con and Guildhall Café will be serving a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks!

Please note Food & Drinks brought externally will not be allowed on the premises and Guildhall Café will not be open to non-ticket holders on this day.


How To Get To Us

By Car
There is easy access into Portsmouth on the M275 from Junction 12 of the M27, with links to the M3 and A3 connecting the city with Southampton, Chichester, London and beyond.

There is a Park & Ride service situated at a purpose built location on the M275 entrance to Portsmouth.

Parking
Isambard Brunel Multi Storey Car Park has 460 spaces and is 200m from Portsmouth Guildhall.

There are a very limited number of on street parking spaces outside the venue.

Blue Badge holders are exempt from pay and display charges in Portsmouth City Council owned car parks – just display your badge. This is not the case with NCP owned car parks or the Isambard Brunel Multi Storey car park.

By Train
Portsmouth Guildhall is just a couple of minutes walk from Portsmouth & Southsea Train Station with frequent services operating from London Waterloo, Southampton and Brighton.

By Bus
Local and regional bus services stop at Commercial Road City Centre which is a 5 minute walk from Portsmouth Guildhall.

National coach services will stop at The Hard Interchange, a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride away.
