Whether you are catching a train, driving, walking, cycling, teleporting, pod-racing to our Con, we have options to accommodate your travel. Please see below for our recommended modes of transport.

train

Portsmouth and Southsea is the ideal station for Portsmouth Comic Con, being only a minute walk from the station to the venue. It is only a 15 minutes (approx) walk from Portsmouth Harbour and Fratton train stations respectively as well. These stations are served by South Western Railway, GWR and Southern.

The city is connected through the railway network to towns and cities across the South – and beyond. This means you can catch a direct service to Portsmouth from London, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Southampton, Winchester, Bath and a whole load more.

Keep an eye out for special offers on rail fares running throughout the year, where you can enjoy discounted fares on routes between Portsmouth and heaps of cities.

PARK AND RIDE

Portsmouth Park and Ride offers convenient and sustainable journeys for visitors travelling from outside Portsmouth and from the north of the city.

Take the PR1 service to the city centre and The Hard and hop off at the city centre stop, then it’s just a short walk to the Guildhall. PR1 buses run daily, every 15 minutes and you can hop on, hop off all day. Day tickets cost just £4 for up to five people, with flexible ticket options for regular travellers.

Park and ride is located just off Junction 1 of the M275.

bus

Local and regional bus services stop at Commercial Road City Centre which is a 5 minute walk from Portsmouth Guildhall.

National coach services will stop at The Hard Interchange, a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride away.

by sea

Portsmouth is well connected by sea, whether you are travelling from international waters, or from local islands and areas.

ISLE OF WIGHT

You can catch both the passenger or the car ferry to Portsmouth from the Isle of Wight. Head to Wightlink or Hovertravel for the best routes and how to get to us.

GOSPORT

HAYLING ISLAND

The Hayling Ferry runs from Hayling to Eastney and only takes 3 minutes to get to the island. Find out more on the Hayling Ferry website.

OVERSEAS

If you LOVE us that much and are willing to travel overseas to come and see us, then you are in luck. Portsmouth has international ferry ports that travel from the Channel Islands, all the way to Caen and Bilbao. Check out your best bets below:

by air

Prefer to fly? The major London airports Gatwick and Heathrow, are both located 60 miles (100km) away and Southampton International Airport are in easy reach of Portsmouth & Southsea Station via good rail and rail/coach connections.

Southampton International Airport, just 22 miles away, provides services to domestic UK, Channel Islands, French and Dutch destinations.
