Following last month’s announcement that Portsmouth Comic Con – International Festival of Comics would be moved back to Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August due to the Covid-19 pandemic, event organisers The Guildhall Trust with partners Tripwire Magazine and GoGeek Events CIC, have been working hard to reconfirm content for the new summer dates and are delighted to now announce even more new content!

First up is Phil Hawkins, the Director/Producer of Star Wars: Origins, an ambitious Star Wars/Indiana Jones fan film that has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike. Shot in the Sahara Desert over three years, visitors to the Con (Saturday only) will be treated to a screening of the film followed by a Q&A with Hawkins about the making of the film which was launched at ‘For the Love of Sci-Fi’ last year.

New guests also confirmed to join the impressive Artists Alley, sponsored by Catawiki, are Phil Buckenham and Paulina Vassileva, who join the likes of previously confirmed guests, Adam Hughes, Brian Froud, Marguerite Sauvage, Troy Alders and P. Craig Russell.

His credits include, Metal Made Flesh, Tpubs The Theory and Henge the comic book as well as his creator owned series Valhalla Awaits.
