Portsmouth Comic Con – International Festival of Comics is delighted to announce multiple Eisner, Harvey and Inkpot award-winning and New York Times best-selling author, ADAM HUGHES, to its increasingly impressive Artists Alley line-up for 2020 sponsored by Catawiki.


The largest event of its kind in the South of England is set to return to Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May with Atlanta-based Adam Hughes joining the prestigious Artist Alley of guests already published including Marguerite Sauvage, Janet K Lee, Roy Richardson, June Brigman, Katie Schenkel and The Etherington Brothers, with many more yet to be announced!

Known for illustrating strong, beautiful women like Wonder Woman, Catwoman and Tomb Raider, the perfect fit for the 2020 Con’s ‘Celebration of Female Superheroes’ feature on the Saturday, Hughes is currently drawing strong, beautiful monsters like Hellboy.

The world really is Hughes’ oyster with the illustrious guest himself suggesting that anything is possible between now and the Con. “Pulitzer Prize? Possible. Nobel Peace Prize? Stranger things have happened. Arrested for public urination? More than Likely!”

Celebrating the best of comics, film, TV and pop culture entertainment for aficionados, fans and families alike, Portsmouth Comic Con features incisive panels, interactive fun in the form of VR experiences, robots, retro and board gaming plus cosplay, exhibitions, displays, workshops and a Comic City packed full of merch and collectables.

In addition to the special ‘Celebration of Female Superheroes’ on the Saturday of the Con there will be ‘A World of Witchcraft and Wizardry’ on the Sunday featuring daily child and adult cosplay parades hosted on GoGeek Event’s School of Wizards stage.
