Annie Lawson started cartooning in 1980, a few years after completing a Fine Art degree. Her first success was with a range of postcards sold from market stalls in Camden Lock and Covent Garden, which developed into other articles such as t-shirts, and in 1988 her first compilation Brilliant Advice! was published by Deirdre McDonald books.
Other books followed, plus strips in Honey magazine and The Guardian. Between 1997 and 2014 she was in-house cartoonist at Lush Cosmetics. Annie has written zine stories throughout this relatively mainstream career, and at present is printing them at home for selling through her website Annie Lawson Cartoons and Rug Vision - Home
